The Dinner with Businessmen last 03/01/2019 turned out to be something really meaningful, productive and interesting. I am happy because I was able to attend the “Dinner with Businessmen and women” Meeting. I wasn’t supposed to be there. Though I signed up to join. I thought it was for anyone with an existing Business, an incoming Business, a proposal Business or an Aspiring Businessman like me (giggle). I learned few days ago that it was for people with an existing Business. So there you go. I was not supposed to be there anymore. But a blessing in disguise happened. There was no one to man the Registration Booth. My Pastor approached me and I stepped in. To make the long story short, I got in. I was in the meeting that I wasn’t supposed to be in. And since I was there at the meeting, might as well listen too. But lo and behold, the meeting was really actually for anyone who worked, still working or in the Marketplace Ministry of our society.

To be honest, I was surprised. It got me interested when the Speaker from “Leader Impact” Organization talked about how a Leader in their own businesses can share Jesus Christ. It takes a real risk but a risk worth taking for Christ Jesus. Why it is a real risk? It is because they might lose their Clients if they start talking about Christ. Supernaturally, it is always the other way around. They might lose their current Clients but God would always provide someone ever better than the previous. Someone with the same faith or willing to have the same faith by trusting their Businesses to God.

Though the Speaker did not really address other Audiences, I like how the meeting discloses. It had us made a group discussion, processed what we just heard or learned. We did some group reporting with one of the group members being the Spokesperson to share in the whole class. I liked the topic too. I took some notes that you can check out down below. If I also remember it correctly, some of the questions he asked were “

What are the needs of a Leader?

Come up a principle that a Leader must embody in order for him/her to be an effective in   leading them to Christ Jesus?

These are some of the questions he asked that we got to process ourselves in the group.

I also like his couple of stories. How he used the story to validate how real and effective the principles and strategies he shared. Narrative and stories never fail to hook up a listener’s ears. There is something in the story that would draw someone to pay close attention. It helps mere theories and philosophies in life to be true. True story separates the real one to the myths. Story makes it alive.

So that was one of my highlights yesterday. It was great. I got a free meal too J Isn’t that awesome? Peace! I’m out here. It is a wrap.

P.S - 4 Principles of Business Leaders that embodies who they are as Christian Leaders in the Business World.

1. Vision

2. Equipping

3. Outreach/Reach out

4. Small Group (Dgroup)
